Stone Arch Sessions: Jonathan, Horace Greene
Mar 19 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
$5 suggested donation at the door. It’s a double header Tuesday and things are gonna be big! We’ve got local favorites Horace Greene in the house and they’ll be sharing the night with the Croatian band, Jonathan. Horace Greene is a driven, passionate and charismatic band from Oshkosh, WI. Their sound is remarkably diverse and forward-thinking, blurring the lines between various genres. Their songs fall somewhere in between the melodies and grooves of 60s soul and the groundbreaking expressive energy of blues and alternative music. Jonathan’s debut album “Bliss” was found on the domestic and regional charts of the best annual albums of 2014. Since its release, the album has been downloaded more than 10,000 times, with excellent singles featuring Maggie, “Communicate” and “Pictures”. Everyone found themselves in the rotation of radio stations throughout Croatia, and they allowed the band to go way around the region. Jonathan often compares with indie rock worlds such as Franz Ferdinand, Editors, Interpol, Placebo or The Strokes, but with constant work the band has built the reputation of a rock machine. Outstanding concerts throughout Croatia, performances in the most important clubs and festivals in the region, as well as mini tours with editors, suggest that Jonathan really belongs to that starry combination.
