The Point of Jazz is a jazz collective led by recent graduates of the music department at University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point. Every other Thursday the group plays at Stone Arch Brewpub in Appleton Wisconsin from 7:30-9:30PM. They play a one hour set featuring that week’s guest artist, then open the floor for community members to join in on their respective instruments. This week‘s featured artist is Jacob Opperman.
Minneapolis-based Mauldin, a trio led by the dynamic force of David and Priscilla Priebe, alongside the rhythmic prowess of Whelan Keenan (or sometimes Craig,) has been everyone's sweetheart for nearly a decade, dishing out loud, infectious tunes adorned with irresistible melodies and nerdy sci-fi-fanfiction.
