Tall Tall Trees is the boundary-pushing project of multi-instrumentalist Mike Savino. Blending hypnotic banjo riffs (from his trusty Banjotron 6500) with lush, layered electronics, Savino creates a mesmerizing fusion of folk, psych, and world music. Combining the tenderness of Cat Stevens, the melancholic introspection of Elliott Smith, the anthemic psychedelia of Pink Floyd, and a deep abiding respect for Earl Scruggs, Tall Tall Trees delivers a one-of-a-kind live performance.

Alex Lopez, a tenor saxophonist from central Wisconsin, has always followed the sound and story of his music. Growing up surrounded by classical tunes and Broadway musicals, Lopez’s world changed when he discovered jazz. With a musical path as adventurous as his life, he studied at the New England Conservatory under Jerry Bergonzi, completed his degree at the University of Miami, and earned a graduate degree from the Manhattan School of Music.

A southern Indiana native, he has lived in NYC for over a decade, performing at iconic venues such as The Cutting Room, Sony Hall, Granmercy Theatre, High Line Ballroom, and Radio City Music Hall. He's composed two musicals, and won the Kennedy Center National Musical Theatre Award for The Circus in Winter. Ben’s music is a blend of folk, rock, and Americana, about the passage of time, the weight of age, and the pursuit of passion.
