Join us for a special edition of Our Point of Jazz Jam Session featuring acclaimed guitarist Park Evans. Currently based in Seattle, Evans tours across North America with vintage swing outfit Birch Pereira & the Gin Joints, bringing a distinctive blend of jazz, rockabilly, and country to audiences everywhere. A native of Ithaca, NY, and trained under classical and fingerstyle masters, Evans honed his jazz artistry in Minneapolis with luminaries like Kevin Daley and Dean Magraw. He has collaborated with a diverse range of artists, from jazz vocalists Sophia Shorai and Katie Gearty to legendary bassist Anthony Cox, and has led genre-defying ensembles including Fire Bell and the Park Evans Quintet. With five original albums and over two decades of teaching and session work, Evans brings a deeply emotive and textured sound, praised by Jazz Police for its vocal-like quality and praised by All About Jazz for its tasteful, contemplative technique.
